Every great bakehouse has a story. Ours begins in 2020, in a home kitchen, with a passionate baker and a dream.
Maha El Takki didn’t set out to start a business. After a successful career in the beauty industry, she found herself baking for neighbors and friends during the pandemic. What started as a way to share comfort through food quickly turned into something bigger—a community of people who appreciated real, honest baking.
Maha’s Bakehouse grew from that home kitchen into BRĒD, a craft-first bakehouse where every loaf is made with intention and every croissant is a work of art. The beauty industry taught Maha about quality and attention to detail. Baking taught her about patience and the joy of creating something with your hands.
Today, BRĒD stands for everything Maha believed in from day one: natural ingredients, traditional methods, and food people want to share the moment it hits the table.
We’re not just baking bread—we’re building community, one loaf at a time.
